Dear Friends,
THANK YOU for helping us raise funds to plant fruit trees with Casa Guatemala in 2018! Casa Guatemala is a beautiful orphanage only accessible by boat on the banks of the Rio Dulce River in eastern Guatemala. The children here are so happy and eager to learn, and the staff who run and teach here are incredibly giving and hard-working people.
Because we were able to raise over $1,000 towards this project, we are committed now to bring fruit trees to the children of Casa Guatemala in 2018. However, we are far from our goal of the $6,000 needed to fully fund this project. Therefore, we are launching another micro-project on GlobalGiving in an effort to raise the remaining funds. This will be our last chance before we head to Casa Guatemala in July to plant and distribute trees in this remote Mayan community.
