The center is anticipated to be actively delivering training and resources for a period of 25 years and more. Our strategy in helping farmers is to establish village-level training and demonstration center. In this way, local farmers learn, converge, see and observe improved farming techniques and access planting materials that they can bring and grow in their own farms.
The problem with farmers wanting to improve their farm enterprise is the lack of practical knowledge and skills in order to implement their chosen innovations. Added to the problem is the lack of farming inputs especially planting materials that they are able to access at the initial phase of their farm improvement activities. The center that will be established will be meeting this crucial need.
The center will provide training and demonstrations on improved agriculture technologies as well as host site visits by farmers and farming enthusiasts. We will conduct regular trainings as well as utilize the social media for promotions and announcements.
The well-being of farmers and increase in food and incomes is easily solved by the growing of vegetables. The combination of sun, soil, water and manual labor by farmers is already present but the most problematic is the availability and access to vegetable seeds. By doing this means improvement in the well-being of poor families.
