This micro project will enable 20 poor and vulnerable households in a rural village in Uganda celebrate Christmas this year, apart from attending church service on Christmas, these households have never had a special diet or attire on such a day, in Uganda moderate families have rice, bananas, beef, chicken and soda on Christmas and also decorate a house with simple flowers and balloons, this year if these families have it that way, the kids in those families will enjoy the day in a special way.
The children in these communities do not know the meaning of Christmas, this will compel them to know what it means, this will also enable them relate well with their families and neighbors, child participation will also be enhanced.
Each of the identified household will be given food items and other items to be used on Christmas day to enable them celebrate Christmas in a special way. Children will not need to go to the neighborhoods to change diet this year as this will be solved.
Child participation will be enhanced as well as love shown to the needy communities which will motivate them and have them know that some body out there cares about them
