Our Greenhouse Project has been a huge success and has even far exceeded our expectations and goals! The main purpose of building this greenhouse was to reduce plastic waste in the area while at the same time providing the community with healthy vegetables that could not otherwise be grown there. We wanted to put a stop to the burning of plastic bottles, which releases dangerous toxins into the air, and we also wanted to enhance the locals' nutrition, especially that of the elderly community members. We were able to achieve these goals, and to our surprise, our greenhouse has also become something of a local sensation! Members of the communit have been coming by the greenhouse every day to see the project and to learn about the reasons behind the greenhouse as well as how the various plants we grow there can lead to a healthier diet. Many people have expressed an interest in building greenhouses of their own. In addition, we have also received visits from the local authorities, including a representative from the Uganda Wildlife Authority, who was very impressed with the Greenhouse Project and praised our commitment to the purification of the environment. We are so pleased that this project has gone beyond its original purpose and has become an important educational tool as well. We are excited to extend this project to other sites and to spread the importance of caring for the environment as well as caring for one's health and nutrition. Thank you so much to our donors for helping us impact the community in this important way!
