Dear Donors,
As we approach the New Year of 2025 and the eve of the Chinese Spring Festival, we are pleased to report to you the progress of our project—Empower 100 Pick-up Guardians in China—and to once again express our gratitude for your generous support.
In November, our project successfully empowered 33 guardians who initiated 12 educational outreach activities and 17 litter-picking events, attracting 1367 public volunteers to participate.
Through practical actions, we collectively cleared 1099.12 kilograms of outdoor waste, with plastic waste accounting for 667.76 kilograms. We are proud to report that we effectively recycled 543.18 kilograms of recyclable plastics, achieving a 59% effective recycling rate. By the end of November, through our empowered activists, we have cleared approximately 12.4 tons of outdoor waste, with 10,552 participants involved in 318 litter-picking events; additionally, 2675 individuals participated in 52 educational outreach activities.
These activities not only allow activists to directly clean up litter in outdoor spaces but, more importantly, raise public awareness of environmental protection and encourage more people to take practical actions to improve local environmental issues.
In 2025, we will continue to support more activists, expand the project's impact, and continue to achieve positive environmental changes through collective efforts. Our goal is to further improve the recycling rate of plastic waste, reduce outdoor waste, and educate more community members about the importance of sustainable waste management.
