Namaste
Thank you for your support.
Due to your help, we were able to continue our emergency support for migrant families (daily wage earners (who were unable to work due to Covid).
We have no doubt this appeal helped save children’s lives.
Our Rescue centre in Gaya became overwhelmed with requests for help as returning migrant labourers often after walking hundreds of kilometres could not feed their children. Our emergency response saved many lives. However, Covid is going to be around a long time and our response needs to be too...
Our initial response was an emergency programme to avoid starvation for daily labourers who now had no work. This developed into a multi-pronged approach combining our resources at our rescue centre with our health team to provide PPE, vaccinations and training and support for employment opportunities, alongside emergency responses to avoid child starvation.
Please see our new project appeal concerning our medium to long term response on GlobalGiving here

Here is a response from one of the mothers
"People First’s help has literally saved us, nobody else seemed to care but through People First our faith in humanity has been restored. Now are children are back in education our position is stabilised and we are now well".
Thank you so much for your humanity
With Best Regards,
Priyadarshini
