Our volunteers in Italy, France, Greece and Spain have already put together emergency backpacks for American battered mothers with children escaping violence. These volunteers are on stand-by to get a backpack to a victim in need. It may seem like a simple thing, but having a few basic necessities, some cash and a phone can make all of the difference in the world for a battered mother on the run with children. You have made that possible.
As a survivor of abuse in a foreign country, I remember a terrible night when I had to flee the house for safety. I had no money, no phone, nothing. There was no one I could call. No one to help me. I was forced to go back home and endure more abuse. I am happy that today, victims can call the international hotline and we can get them backpacks, a safe place to stay and begin to help them live their lives without violence.
Myself and the AODVC Team truly appreciate your support! Best wishes,Paula
