We plan to change how the elderly are viewed and the lack of value they receive when they are no longer able to contribute to the family or community.
The elderly in our community will receive home visits, medications, evaluations for medical care, food, reading glasses and reading material. An attempt will be made to find family members that can help us take care of these elderly peoples. This will help them cope with loneliness, lack of food and care.
By visiting the sick that are unable to travel to the clinic and meeting their medical needs, involving family members, and providing resources such as medicine, and reading materials and food.
The project will provide medical care, dental care, nutrition, and vitamins to 4,000 under-served people of Honduras. This will provide their families with healthcare and make them more productive citizens and aid them in a productive life that is not possible while sick. This will improve the individuals' health and in turn improve the individuals' families lives, and in turn improve the community as a whole as the cycle repeats itself into a more educated one, from generation to generation.
