Ensena Peru is working with the Collective "Armando Puentes" to provide quality education for students in Cocachimba, Amazonas. Through the leadership program of Ensena Peru, one professional will play the role of teacher, positively impacting the education of 70 students.
92.3% of schools in Amazonas are in rural areas and 56.9% of them do not have access to basic services. In the Amazonas region, only 1 out of every 10 girls who start school finishes it and in second grade only 3 out of every 10 students can read according to their grade level.
With the Leadership Program, we attract, recruit, and select diverse professionals to work as teachers in educational institutions for two years, with constant support and pedagogy, leadership, and systemic change tools. Ensena Peru Professionals develop educational leadership skills and become leaders who work collectively for the educational transformation of Peru. They achieve extraordinary results with their students and generate positive change in the community.
In the long term, we hope to build a community of change agents who work together to initiate positive transformations for their territory.
