How $950 Is Supporting Women Educators as Leaders for Peace in Puerto Rico
Thanks to your generosity, this project raised $950, which is already being used strategically to support women educators who lead peace-building efforts within Puerto Rico’s public Montessori school communities.
While the full funding goal was not reached, these funds are allowing us to continue providing meaningful professional accompaniment and learning opportunities, ensuring that every contribution translates into real impact.
How the funds are being used
The $950 raised is supporting:
More than 20 hours of facilitated learning and reflection spaces, focused on peace education, leadership development, and practices that strengthen school communities.
Individual and small-group coaching sessions for women educators, providing personalized pedagogical and emotional support.
Direct support for approximately 15–20 women educators, many of whom serve as anchors of stability and care within their school communities.
These hours of facilitation and coaching strengthen educators’ capacity to lead with confidence, care, and purpose—impacting not only their professional practice, but also the children and families they serve daily.
Why this matters
Investing $950 in women who educate for peace creates a powerful ripple effect. Each hour of facilitation and coaching supports educators who reach hundreds of children and families across Puerto Rico. Even with partial funding, this investment allows us to continue advancing our mission with integrity, care, and intention.
We are deeply grateful for your trust and for choosing to walk alongside us in building a more just and peaceful Puerto Rico through public education.
With gratitude,
Instituto Nueva Escuela
