We will respond through community-based Ebola prevention activities by training and empowering VHTs to conduct door-to-door thermometer screening + education and distribute PPE health materials in Kyengera Kampala.
To create informed, resilient, and Ebola-free communities in Uganda through sustained community surveillance by MoH trained VHTs. This emergency response builds local capacity for door-to-door screening + education beyond the June 2026 Bundibugyo strain outbreak. By equipping Kyengera Kampala VHTs with thermometers + PPE, Mountains of Hope strengthens community health preparedness against future Ebola outbreaks and reduces stigma through trusted neighbor-to-neighbor action.
