We want to thank our GlobalGiving donors and supporters for standing with us during Uganda’s recent Ebola response.
Fundraising Update
Through this campaign, we raised $100 of our $1,600 goal. While we did not reach our full target, every dollar was appreciated and will be used to strengthen health preparedness and community awareness in the communities we serve.
Good News for Uganda
We are grateful to share that the Uganda Government has officially declared the country free of Ebola. This is a huge answer to prayer for all of us here.
What this means for the people of Uganda:
1. Relief and Safety: Families, schools, and churches can return to normal activities without the fear of outbreak and quarantine.
2. Economic Recovery: Markets, transport, and small businesses can reopen fully. This helps parents provide for their children again.
3. Restored Hope: The declaration gives communities confidence in our health system and in God’s protection over our nation.
For Mountains of Hope, this means we can now refocus our efforts on recovery support for vulnerable children and families who were affected by fear, stigma, and disruption during the outbreak period. We will also continue health education to keep communities prepared.
Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and for believing in Uganda with us. Because of you, we were able to respond quickly and be ready to help.
