SUMMARY A micro project can significantly improve people's lives by creating practical, locally owned opportunities that address everyday challenges, especially those faced by women. It can provide women with skills, small business opportunities, productive assets, and access to savings or credit, enabling them to generate reliable incomes and support their families. A community-based project can train women in sustainable agriculture, aggro-processing, tailoring, handicrafts and other skills.
For decades, women have faced significant barriers in starting or those already in business to expand their businesses due to limited opportunities to access loans, lack of collateral and social norms that impede women to access loans. The project aims to create a conducive environment for women to access financial resources and opportunities to uplift their businesses . The project will give women to learn how to save money among themselves in order to raise more capital for loans.
The project will create an enabling environment for women to access loans without any hindrance collateral and other high interest loans. The microcredit project will enable also women to break all financial barriers, improve on their business skills and advocate for a more inclusive role in decision making in their society.
The long term impact will be that women will no longer lack access to loans and other financial services and there will be improved economic status among women. The women will be economically empowered, better education for their children and better health and above all uplifting themselves from a marginalized society to an economic development society.
