Donations to this project would go to the street children under the wing of Childhope Philippines Foundation, Inc. -- giving them aid as Covid relief and providing them better access to alternative education, health and basic social welfare services.
Among the top concerns of street children and their families during this pandemic are (1) food security, (2) access to basic health services, and (3) mental and emotional distress. Moreover, with the coming opening of classes, primarily shifting to online platforms, these children are all the more marginalized due to lack of or poor access to technologies that will greatly aid their learning.
This project will provide food relief to street children and their families who are currently unable to earn a living due to the crisis. We will provide better access to primary health care services through a mobile clinic. The project will provide motivation and counselling services through our social workers. Furthermore, we will provide access to technology like free wifi and use of computer equipment to aid them in accomplishing learning tasks, aided by our street educators.
Childhope Philippines transforms street children into productive citizens through the care, love and education of its street educators and social workers and its holistic programs, giving the street children hope and a future.
