Dear Supporters,
COVID is here for the foreseeable future and it has really changed the way we live. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal ‘No Poverty’ has been a challenging goal for us pre COVID and although we have been making progress, COVID has thrown us a huge challenge. We are seeing more and more families that live on the line day to day loose employment and fall through the gaps for official support and as a result are struggling to survive and provide food for their families.
In Zimbabwe our community members come to us every day with a smile and hope and these families are amongst some of the most positive and hard working people we have met over the years. Nobody is able to save and so when ‘lockdown’ came into play many people lost their jobs and had no option of other employment. We experienced many of our community members struggling and with your donations and support we were able to fund 40 food parcels for one of our projects that provided the basics for a family to survive for 8 weeks (2 months). Because of your donations we spent $800 on funding these 40 parcels and they have been greatly received by the families.
We also supported a second project and community and provided a further 20 food parcels for 20 families to survive for two months, again this was made possible by your donations!
This is just for two of our projects and we have many more people in need of urgent and critical relief during this pandemic and we will continue to support our projects until we get through this crisis.
Thank you for your donations!
