On March 26th, Kupona's sister organization, Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT), will mark 15 years of providing high quality disability services and rehabilitation to thousands of people in Tanzania at the CCBRT Disability Hospital. We invite you to help us change more lives, and reach more people living with disabilities over the next 15 years. Please consider making a life changing gift today.
The 3.5 million people living with disabilities in Tanzania are often the poorest and most marginalized members in the community. Disability can impact a child's social development and access to education, and can limit an adult's employment opportunities. This month, the CCBRT Disability Hospital celebrates 15 years of providing high quality surgical and outpatient services, advocacy and strengthening medical teams through training, ultimately empowering people living with disabilities.
Empowering people to realize their full potential starts with their health. Many impairments can be corrected with surgery, and a person's quality of life can be improved through rehabilitation and access to assistive devices. Together with CCBRT, Kupona is committed to seeing a Tanzania where every person, regardless of income, can access quality disability services. Over the next 15 days, we ask you to help us ensure these life changing services continue for another 15 years.
Supporting the healthcare of an individual creates a ripple effect, impacting entire communities. The immediate improvement to a person's health unlocks access to education and employment, strengthening families, and empowering them to become active and productive members of their communities, breaking the cycle of poverty. Through direct service provision, training, and capacity building this program touches over 1 million people annually.
