Dear friends,
we have good news for all people who supported Sevil.
In July the fundraising campaign came to an end and we had 46 000 dollars required to purchase the implant for Sevil. To tell the truth, there were moments when we were afraid that we would not be able to finish the campaign in time but we never stopped and our efforts were rewarded.
In July we ordered the implant from Germany. In August it arrived to Ukraine. Immediately the surgery was scheduled and performed. The operation lasted 4 hours and was quite complicated. But when the surgeons went out, they were satisfied with the work done. However, that’s only the first step and in the future everything will depend on Sevil.
For Sevil to be able to walk properly, she has to work really hard during rehabilitation. Zaporuka’s team of physiotherapists has prepared a rehabilitation program for her and she has already started doing exercises. We believe in Sevil and we wish her achieve her goals.
