Summary

This project provides mattresses for children and families in rural areas of Uganda. 50 children will have somewhere to sleep for the first time. In rural Uganda, the families have been improvising by filling a sack with grass or old rugged clothes to make it some how comfortable to sleep on.

Challenge

50% of the children in the community suffer from skin complications like ring worms, even after applying creams, they still re occur, this is as a result of sleeping in grass improvised sack mattress that comes along with insects and other related bacteria, this alone causes dis comfort, financial loss and non concentration in class

Solution

This project buys a good quality mattress for a child having a poor sleeping condition, this will enable them concentrate in school as well as reduce skin related complications

Long-Term Impact

The high quality mattress lasts longer than a low quality one, it means that a child will have some where to sleep for over ten years
