BOMA - A Swahili word for a secure homestead, will allow us to first complete the land acquistion for the eventual permanent home by finalizing all legal documentation. Secondly, the microproject will secure the land boundary with a fence, gate, a caretaker and also clearing the land, prep for water and septic connection and all legal permits to build the actual home.
The land to build the permanent home has been awarded to the Rescue Centre but developments have surfaced that the legal adminstration is not complete. This project will go beyond settling the legal fees to actually starting to prep the land for near future building. This includes securing the border with fencing, site clearing, water and septic prep and all permit and inspection costs.
Complete all legal fees' obligations and allow personnel to enter the site and begin basic prep and security.
The impact of this microproject is instrumental to moving forward with completing our ultimate goal of building a new permanent home for the Rescue Centre children and thus eliminating the need to pay monthly rent. The land is large enough for eventually allowing for self-sustainability via growing food and vocational training centers.
