Dear Friends,
We would like to extend our thanks for your wonderful generosity to our 40 Bikes for 40 Girls program. With your support we will be buying our first 40 bikes and provide them to girls this summer.
As one of the director’s 12 year old daughter pointed out, we are not only helping one girl with each bike, but an additional girl that gains a ride to school on the back of that bike and the families who may come to need the bike as well to get to places such as health care services. This project has the potential to help many girls and their families.
Based on our initial success with 40 Bikes for 40 Girls and the interest we have received to continue, we have decided to continue our fundraising efforts and expand this project. You can view the new project page at GlobalGiving.org: http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/girls-bikes-4-change/
As the school year comes to an end, our work is just beginning. On June 27, 2013, the directors of Rock-Paper-Scissors Children’s Fund return to Vietnam for two months to begin implementation of our projects. We have just hired a young man in Hanoi to help us work with ethnic communities north of Hanoi, where we hope to send our first round of bikes. Many photos to come!
Thank you again for your support,
The Rock-Paper-Scissors Children’s Fund Team
