Loraine, our Diaper Drop Liasion in Puerto Rico, shares this story:
A federal employee came and asked me about the cloth diapers, it was a man and is rare the male ones ask about the cloth diapers. I came into alert but he started searching on his phone and showing me pictures of his twin girls when they used cloth diapers in the states. He told me he helped his sister with diapers for his nephews but since the shutdown is been hard. He couldn't find cloth diapers here and wanted to know how much they cost and if I could give his sister and orientation of how to use them. I smiled as he showed the money he had to ask if that amount would be enough for one diaper. I told him to call his sister and tell her to come by so I could explain to her. He stood besides her the whole time and his eyes 'opened like fish on a freezer" when I gave her the kit from Jake's diapers and explain that they were free from them. Immediately their nervousness for the price dissolved and started grinning in disbelief. The employee called his wife to tell her. They asked for the link to be able to help out when things would be better.
Thanks for making moments like this possible.
