No caregiver should ever have to choose between food & diapers. Sadly, this is now a problem for many furloughed government employees. This fund will provide basic hygiene necessities: diapers and period products, at no cost to people impacted by the partial government shut down through our Eastern Wisconsin Diaper Bank Initiative.
This project will solve diaper need and provide period products at no cost to furloughed government employees who now find themselves with no income and struggling to afford basic needs. All babies deserve to be clean, dry, and healthy.
Jake's Diapers provides diapers at no cost to trusted community partners: social service organizations already helping families in need through comprehensive programs and services. Distributing diapers through community partners ensures diapers reach those who need them most. It also provides partnering organizations with a resource- diapers- they are not normally able to provide, increasing the services they can offer and attracting clients who could benefit from their mission.
By collaborating with local agencies who are working on breaking the cycle of poverty, the long term impact of solving the basic need of diapers has a positive socio-economic impact in our community.
