Bailey needs a foster home for one month

A microproject by Pathways to Safety International
Bailey needs a foster home for one month

Summary

Bailey is Kate's precious fur baby. Kate is in a domestic violence shelter in the USA after we helped her escape from Portugal. The shelter she is in does not allow pets. Bailey is temporarily staying with one of Kate's friends but they can't keep Bailey much longer. Kate believes she will be able to be in her own apartment in a month. She has a foster home lined up for Bailey for $300.

Challenge

Domestic violence victims that flee home to the USA for safety often have to go into shelters. Most shelters in the USA cannot accommodate pets. Kate will be able to get Bailey into a foster home for one month.

Solution

With Bailey safely in a foster home, Kate can get a job and secure a place for she and Bailey to live without abuse.

Long-Term Impact

We will provide services to 150 American victims with pets in approximately 50 countries while they are fleeing violence. Our goal is to have all of them reach safety with their pets and live their lives without violence in their homes.
