Support our "young entrepreneurs" to temporarily cover their urgent expenses for baby & childcare. With your help, they will be able to buy essential items like milk & nappies, while they wait for their crops to grow and their cooperative to provide them with a secure income. 8 children in total will benefit from this micro project for a duration of 6 months.
While our young entrepreneurs are committed to the cooperative they set up, and to the business plan they developed, there is little time for those of them who are young parents to undertake other income generating activities. While the majority of the children are looked after at a nearby creche from Monday to Friday, expenses like nappies, milk, medical care are a constant worry for them. The lack of available funds also jeopardises the health and wellbeing of their children.
The project will provide the young parents with financial support to cover urgent and essential items they need to provide for the care of their small children. They are confident that within 6 months the cooperative will be able to provide them with a regular income and they will no longer need any external help to provide for their children.
The project will guarantee the success of the cooperative, as all its members will be equally committed and free from worries related to childcare: the successful repayment of their loan, the provision of a secure income for each member of the cooperative, the acquisition of all the necessary skills to start on another plot of land after the 2 years, or for individuals to start their own business without any additional supervision. 15 young people will have secure livelihoods.
