Challenge

To decrease the incidence and prevalence of malnourished and ferropenic anemia in children under 12 year old, through diagnose and ferropenic treatment and food suplementation.

Solution

We will address the issue of hygiene habits and in this way relate it to the impact they have on their health and nutrition. We could notice in the previous intervention that families showed an interest in painting, that is why we are planning to do murals on canvas, as a tool to transmit information about the importance of hygiene habits. We will start with hand and face washing , since we know that hygiene habits are a subject that requires perseverance and participation all the family.

Long-Term Impact

Development and strengthen of hygiene and good eating habits, that directly affect the decrease of malnutrition and anemia. We help improved installed capacities and technical/administrative skills- strengthened infrastructure and production of the ecotecniques. Sustaining/increasing economic income- Marketing (sale or barter) and savings derived from self-supply, so the families can eat better, healthier and cheaper.
