Summary

In IXIM A. C. Our mission is to accompany Tseltal communities in Chiapas so that they build, from their own values, alternatives of dignified and self-managed life in harmony. For this we work for 6 years with groups of women, children and young people, in the areas of health, social organization, environment and economy, so that they can reach the Buhts'an Qu'inal, which is the Tseltal concept to describe harmony with oneself, with the environment and with transcendence and that can be transl

Challenge

Contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of 99 Tseltal families of Chiapas, from respect for their culture and the gradual development of their self-management capacities.

Solution

In this first year of work: 1. We will monitor the state of child nutrition through quarterly health days where the necessary supplements will be delivered to combat malnutrition. 2. We willhold workshops to train them in vegetable production in backyard gardens, we will deliver seeds and we will monitor the production of the garden. 3. We will implement training activities on good nutrition, hygiene and disease prevention.

Long-Term Impact

By implementing these health programs in the communities, children will have optimal physical and cognitive development and families will save by having healthy and accessible diets, with which they reduce diseases.
