Amina is an 18 year old American woman living in Egypt living with her parents. When she told them she was a lesbian, they beat her. They told Amina that they are arranging a marriage to a man that can "fix" her. Amina is afraid. She desperately wants to come back to the USA. She needs money to get a new American passport and an airline ticket to her Aunt's home in the US. Her Aunt is supportive of Amina's sexual identity.
Amina thought her parents would be supportive when she came out to them. She was shocked by their response: they beat her. If we don't get Amina out of Egypt soon, her parents will force her to marry a man to "fix" her. We need to get Amina back home to the USA to live with her Aunt.
Amina will be able to come back home to the USA. She will be able to live her life freely as a young lesbian woman.
