A Year of Food for Chinaidine!

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
Vetted

Summary

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for 4 year old Chinaidine. Chinaidine's mother was unable to meet her basic needs because of poverty, so she was forced to abandone Chinaidine at the HTDC orphanage. Today, she's one of the orphanage's most social children - a real social bee! Thanks to the hard work of HTDC staff and the generosity of donors like you, Chinaidine has is doing great, but without nutritious meals to keep her growing, Chinaidine's future will be bleak.

Challenge

Following the effects of tropical storm Isaac and Hurricane Sandy in Haiti, the cost of food has almost doubled. This makes it far more difficult for the orphanage to buy the food it needs. Without your help, Chinaidine may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving her more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.

Solution

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Chinaidine needs to stay healthy.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Chinaidine needs, you're preventing illness and helping her grow up strong!
