This fund will facilitate repairs on the service van to enable the community handle emergencies in Mpigi- Uganda. When Covid19 pandemic hit the world in 2020,several countries including Uganda imposed a lock down, transport from rural areas to health facilities was nearly impossible, this forced Mountains of Hope to donate it's service van to the community to facilitate health related emergencies, however the only alternative the community has is in a bad mechanical condition
The Mountainsof Hope free ambulance service van helps to handle emergencies ranging from women giving birth, ill children both in school and out of school to accident victims, however the only community life saver is in poor shape and requires repairs. The poor communities in Mpigi cannot have access to the available limited ambulance services which can only be accessed in the capital city as it requires lots of money to hire one incase of an emergency
Once the van is in good shape, it will continue handling emergencies hence saving lives of poor people in rural areas in Uganda
We will ensure that the van is well serviced as well as equipped to handle emergencies in this local community
