Partner with Microsoft YouthSpark to empower young people around the world with the tech skills they need to pursue their dreams. The Partners for Good Challenge Fund supports three amazing nonprofit organizations providing IT skills and computer science training for the tech employees and entrepreneurs of tomorrow: FIRST (DC Metro), Girls Who Code and Taking IT Global. Donations to the Partners for Good Challenge Fund will be distributed evenly among these three organizations.
Science and technology are critical drivers of today's global innovation economy. More and more companies, across all industry sectors, are seeking people with technical skills. But, there is a mismatch between education and opportunity-between supply and demand-that we must solve. By increasing student access to training and resources as early as possible, they can build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to realize greater opportunities.
Closing the learning gap is imperative for the success of today's youth and one of the focal points of Microsoft YouthSpark. The Partners for Good Challenge Fund supports top nonprofits working to educate, inspire, and equip today's students to enter tomorrow's advanced technology-based workplace.
By helping YouthSpark organizations access funding, we can all help empower young people around the world to create and seize opportunities to change their world.
When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.
We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.
They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
