The Gobi March in Mongolia

From June 18th to 24th 2023 I will be taking part in the Gobi March - a 7-day, 250 km / 155 mile footrace that takes place in the stunning Karakorum region of Central Mongolia. Through seven days I will join the other competitors in traversing the vast Mongolian steppes, sand dunes and rock valleys.

Showing how slow I am in learning, my profile picture is from the last time I was in the Gobi 10 years ago. A decade older and slower, but probably not wiser.

I will be raising funds for the Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC) in Cambodia. The CSC aims to improve the quality of life for disabled Cambodian children and adults by providing rehabilitation surgery. Integral to this mission is a program of training local surgeons and health workers, focusing on the development of sustainable health services.
