KVT has been working at Khagaria, Purnia,Siwan, Saharsa, Samastipur Gaya, and Patna districts of Bihar and Dhanbad, Chatra, Deoghar, and Bokaro district of Jharkhand and several area of West Bengal . KVT has been striving for the betterment of the most deprived and marginalized sections of the society as its target group since its inception. KVT's journey is 20 years long and during this time frame it has faced lots of barriers and challenges. To overcome these barriers and challenges KVT has undertaken many initiatives. The organization aims to empower the economically weaker & socially marginalized sections of the society through their capacity building. KVT works with children, women, diasble people, poor & deprived section of the society to bring them to the mainstream of development by ensuring their rights and dignity. Major areas of interest of the organization are promotion of Child Rights & Child Protection, Empowerment of Women, Promotion of Self Help Groups (SHGs), Adult Education, Primary & Non - Formal Education, Development of Basic Health & Hygiene as well as awareness about HIV/AIDS and Employment Generation through Vocational Training. The organization has been initiated by a group of individuals committed for the development of rural communities under the guidance of Mr. Prabhat Kumar who has a 25 Years experience in the field of development. The trust has started its initiatives in the areas of Education, Health, HIV/AIDS Child Protection, and Disaster Preparedness & Risk Reductions. KVT registered with Niti Aayog, (National Institution for Transforming India). Our goals is to work for the benefit of the poor and society. KVT has the great achievement for serving the society for almost 21 years. It's my priviledge in sharing with you our engagements and experiences in the year 2016-2017 and our future plans! This year we touch the issue Labour migration from Bihar. Migrant support should aim to: Create awareness among migrants about their rights so that they can better protect themselves against exploitation (on work time, wages). Create awareness among migrants about health risks Create awareness about the dangers of trafficking to children and parents Improve their bargaining power through skills enhancement programmes and certification through partnerships with NGOs and government Reduce uncertainty in the job market by providing information on job availability, wages and duration of work. Recognized the vulnerability of those who are left behind in migrating households and devise ways of supporting them. The need for communication, representation in village institutions and remittance mechanism is greatest.Improve the understanding of migration in terms of its patterns, drivers and impacts by building up a comprehensive database on migration by caste, gender, asset holding, occupation, duration and returns in their own project districts We have wonderful feelings work With HIV positives since two years . we established Care and support centre for people. living with HIV in district Begusarai in Bihar under Vihan Project. .The aim of the project is to link People Living with HIV (PLHIV) to the many government and semi-government schemes that will help bring them into the mainstream. To achieve our aim, we would be working towards removing the stigma faced by PLHIVs at villages ,in family , workplaces, schools and public places, Vihaan CSCs are committed to the health and wellbeing of all PLHIV and their affected families, with special effort to reach those from underserved populations, including women, children and members of high-risk groups, such as female sex workers (FSWs), men who have sex with men (MSM), transgenders, hijras and people who inject drugs (PWID) Our goals is to work for the benefit of the poor and society. KVT works for maternal and child health, child rights and development, child participation and protection for the excluded community people comes under disaster prone areas of north Bihar, livelihood, and Women Empowerment. Kvt is working with the peoples of Koshi area in Indo Nepal Border to solve their problem with peoples support. We are working with single lady led family in Jharkhand and West Bengal. We gave them livelihood support We have planned to work on infrastructural social, economic and public health development in Purnia parliamentary geographical of Bihar. The survey work is completed. Women Action Forum, Self Help Group, Child Protection Committee, Farmers Club, Village Disaster Management Committee, Village Vigilance Group, etc are formed by our organization to achieve the organizational goal. In Health, Kissan Vikas Trust, took the responsibility of reaching the poor and economically backward rural community through his JaiPrabha Clinic in Patna . Jai Prabha Clinic has been opened with ideology to facilitate the rural community with diagnosis and treatment in a scenario where there is lack of basic facilities which ensures quality health-care diagnosis and treatment for beneficiaries.
