Global Kids inspires underserved youth to achieve academic excellence, self-actualization and global competency, and empowers them to take action on critical issues facing their communities and our world. Develop Global Youth Leaders in NYC and DC!
 
This project allows Global Kids to ensure that youth in underserved communities in NYC and DC have the knowledge, skills, experiences and values they need to succeed in school, participate effectively in the democratic process, and achieve leadership in their communities and globally. 25 Youth in Washington, D.C. Stand #withMalala
 
This grant will enable 25 Youth Leaders from D.C. to participate in a workshop series on topics such as access to education, educational justice and human rights; create and lead workshops and campaigns for their peers; and hold screenings of 'He Named Me Malala' to share Malala's story. The Leaders will also attend the Global Kids Annual Youth Conference in New York City, where they will lead a workshop focusing on the Stand #withMalala campaign and call over 600 youth to action. project reportread updates from the field
Help Global Kids Prepare Teens for College!
 
Global Kids' College and Career Readiness Program will prepare 150 high school seniors from underserved communities for success in higher education and effective participation in today's global workforce. Summer Foreign Policy Institute at the CFR
 
The Summer Institute provides underserved young people with significant exposure to the world of foreign policy and international affairs, including visits to governmental and human rights organizations, and meetings with policy experts. The Annual Youth Conference engages students in learning about current events, foreign policy, and human rights issues and equips them with the skills they need to make an impact. The Playing 4 Keeps program will engage youth in learning serious game design and digital media skills, while also exposing them to a range of important issues. The Career Initiatives program will address underserved students' lack of exposure to career options and the skills and internship experiences required to gain entry into today's sophisticated workplace.
