Hogares Teresa Toda was founded in Puerto Rico in 1993 by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa of Jesus (Hermanas Carmelitas Teresas de San José) with the mission of providing a home for girls and young women who suffer from neglect and/or abandonment due to their family’s inability or unwillingness to care for them—or due to abuse inflicted by their families. We offer them a family-like environment and a comprehensive education.
