Heat is a Right

This past winter, NuDay was able to reach thousands of families with warm winter clothing, heaters & fuel, and locally-sewn sleeping bags - all with your support!

NuDay's winter clothing campaigns ensure that kids and families have the right gear to stay warm, even when displaced. Many families have minimal clothing, and NuDay is working through our container program to make sure that families are well equipped.

NuDay also distributed heaters and fuel to displaced families across Syria. Families were provided with safety information, to ensure the wellbeing of everyone around heaters.

Finally, NuDay hired local women who attended our sewing classes to sew sleeping bags for distribution to displaced families. This was a rare opportunity for women to have a dignified income while also meeting local needs for bedding and heating sources on the ground.

Thanks to you, we're having a wonderful impact on the ground as we secure dignified aid for all.

Empowering, Socially Distanced Edition

The past few months have been a whirlwind, to say the least. We saw the onset of a pandemic that resulted in quarantines internationally and left vulnerable people more vulnerable than ever before; the expanded impact of famine in Yemen, where people regularly struggle to find food on a regular basis; and then the Beirut explosion caused even more despair in Lebanon, leaving many homeless and many more refugees displaced yet again.

In Syria, NuDay has been working to mitigate social distancing measures since April. NuDay's in-person programming was scaled down to ensure that participants minimized possible spreading. For our education programming, this meant that smaller class sizes were initially utilized. This fall, however, numbers of COVID cases rose. As a result, education activities have been limited to home teaching. Students are provided with school supplies and text books, and are visited on a regular basis by staff to ensure that they understand the material and continue to progress.

Even with the virus, we will not put education on the backburner.

Thank you for your ongoing support in this tough time.

Together, Meeting Needs for Syria's Children

We launched the Idlib Emergency Winter campaign based on on-the-ground needs. When almost a million people became displaced in the northwest region this winter, NuDay jumped into action to meet the needs of the recently displaced.

You see, NuDay knows that when the option is between life and death, there is no real option.

Since we launched our campaign, we've been working day and night to ensure that displaced people have access to warm clothing, tents, and blankets. In March, the coronavirus became a looming threat to the region and NuDay lept into action once again, this time launching education campaigns and handing out baskets with much needed relief, such as staple foods and hygiene items.

With your support, we were able to reach over 60,384 women, children, and otherwise vulnerable displaced people this past May. For a detailed breakdown, check out what your impact achieved!

Thank you for your ongoing support as we work together to protect Syria's most vulnerable.

Together, for humanity.
