Mission

We believe blindness is not the real problem, it is the mindset towards visual impairment and disability. India is home to 20 percent of the global blind population and a majority of them are ignorant of the possibilities of living life with blindness. According to Census 2011, there are 5.4 million blind people in the country. However, the actual figures as per activists are much higher, around 42 million. A substantial number of visually impaired people are living on the fringes of society as people are unaware of their potential.
