Build School Gardens for 1000 Youth in Burundi

This project will start 4-H youth school gardening programs at 9 elementary schools in rural Burundi, a country that is the 3rd poorest in the world and working to heal from decades of civil war. Teachers, administrators, and community members will be trained in 4-H, Play for Peace, and using school gardens to teach students. Youth will develop leadership, conflict resolution, and science skills through this hands-on 4-H programming while also growing food to address poverty and hunger. project reportread updates from the field
