15th Report on Carbon Free Water

Dear Friends

Till now, AWARD Pakistan has raised USD18,821 by your support to install of hand pumps and water wells in Tehsil Balakot , District Mansehra..

The wells dug and the handpumps installed are providing clean and natural drinking water to the 8000 inhabitants  of Balakot According to report by our Animator, the disease ratio in these areas have been reduced very much. The children of the areas goes to school regularly without getiing sick or catching any water borne disease. The women health is also improving along with their newborn.

The access to the areas due to heavy snowfall has been blocked these days. Mr. Mustafa (our coordinator) visits 4 areas (Jageer and Grang Maidaan, Shawaal Maidaan and Baisiyaan) after every 2 months where the wells and the handpumps are installed. The beneficiaries are satisfied with the provided facility and are using it with great responsibility.

"We are very happy and are using the water. Our children are safe and are happy too . It is very difficult to bring the water from the lower areas to the mountains(where we live" therefore this facility has helped us survive" Rizwan Shah (Resident of the area)

The communities have promised to protect the facility and use it responsibly at any cost. There has been a decline in the donations to this project, Therefore we request all our donors and supporters to donate us for this cause to provide children and women (living on the mountains), an access to safe drinking water.
