Dear Friends,

Thank you for your donations. Our project "A Training Center to Support 400 Women Every Year" has managed to raise an amount of $1,715 since it has been uploaded. The projet hasnt received any further donations since last quarter. The funds which were raised on GlobalGiving were added up in the funds raised from other sources.

The initial structure of the building (from the funds we received from our different partners) has been completed. The building is moving towards the finishing. But we still require funds to completely finish the building. The finishing requires electric connections and equipment, gas supply connection, marble finishing, windows and doors , sanitary equipment etc. We need another USD 20,000 to finish it.

We would like to request GlobalGiving community to support us in its completion to achieve our target to support 400 poor women and girls every year.

The training course initiated by AWARD is being run at the upper storey of the current rental building  Four of the batches of beautification course have already been passed out. The girls are very excited and happy to learn the skills and hope that this skill will help them improve their livelihood situation as the demand for the beautician is very high. These girls after passing out are starting their own businesses or getting employed in the other well-established beauty parlors. Many of the girls are earning a good income and have started supporting their families which has improves their social status in the society.

The women who already got the loan have sown radish and turnips. Selling its first cycle to the local markets has given them quite a good profit (2000 per day) . The previous vegetable was Apple Gourd but accoding to them , it didnt give them the good profit. One the one side of the land, they have sown peas which is also expected to give them a handsome profit as the demand is high in the market.

Overall , the business is turning into a sustainable livelihood option for them and the beneficiaires are very happy and excited. They are paying back the installments on time and beleive to continue to develop it by acquiring more land in near future.
