I

I'm from Venezuela, I'm 6 years old and in first grade.

My parents, my brother and I have just arrived from Venezuela.

For now, the financial situation at home is very unstable, my mom works with catalogues, an my dad is a street vendor.

I'm very thankful with the Foundation, because with the food baskets they give us, we have food for 20 days.

We've been a part of the Foundation for two months now, and we love to participate in devotionals, activities with teachers and the attention of the psychologist...

¡We really miss our country and family!

Also, at the beginning of the year they gave us a computer so we don't miss classes.

¡Thank you Fundación Tiempo de Paz!

LET'S TALK PREVENTION

Training against child sexual abuse for a community with cognitive disorders, such as autism, Down’s syndrome and learning disabilities.

The objective of the training is to identify what types of experiences they have had so far, and to teach them how to prevent sexual abuse, but also how not to turn into abusers themselves, since because of their conditions, many of them engage sexuality as a way to vent stress, without realizing they can either become abusers or be abused.

As a Foundation we seek to be inclusive, and our objective is to teach strategies of prevention in the care of minors and people who require support. This is why we will continue sending out proposals for the sexual abuse prevention workshops to institutions that deal with population of cognitive disabilities.

Change lives... change the world

In an environment of violence, music becomes an element of help, escape, healthy entertainment and training for life.

In the first semester of 2021, in the midst of the pandemic, we continue providing virtual music lessons, and have more than doubled our coverage, going from 30 children to 70.

The kids don’t miss a lesson, and thanks to the donation of cell phones, tablets, computers and internet, they go online to enjoy a space made for them by qualified professors.

Each child was delivered a flute and the necessary elements for the lessons, while respecting all biosecurity protocals. The children don’t miss a lesson, they enjoy it, they’re entertained, they learn and rid their minds of daily life.

The Foundation functions as a protective environment for the mental and emotional health of the children, giving them tools that help them cope with their emotions and realities.
