Welcome to our Hospital Classroom

Welcome to our Hospital Classroom

Carrying out playful, recreational and artistic activities guided by a TEACHER encourages children and their families to be happy, creative, joyful, upbeat, relaxed and to have fun during the hospitalization period. Also, the teacher’s support in a formal curriculum plan enables children to keep up with their school learning process.

The music therapy reduces anxiety, improves self-esteem, helps socialization and increases creativity.

"The Hospital Classroom is a place were we can together , and share, laughs, hopes, and dreams".

Your donations will help thousands of kids are hospitalized each year¡

THANK YOU

From all the kids that will benefict from the Hospital Classroom.

"WHAT MAKES YOUR HEART BEAT?"

"FAMILY MAKES MY HEART BEAT"
"FAMILY MAKES MY HEART BEAT"

29 SEPTEMBER WORLD HEART DAY

Each year 76,000 children are born in Antioquia, 760 of whom have heart conditions; nationally there are as many as 8,000 children born annually with cardiovascular conditions. The majority of these children are low socio-economic status, with little or no access to healthcare and treatment.

OUT OF EVERY 1000 CHILDREN SUFFER FROM CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE

40% of these suffer critical pathologies requiring some type of intervention

Hearts diseases are responsible for 6% to 10% of global child deaths, and 20% to 40% of congenital defect deaths, and are the third cause of death of children in intensive care units, after prematurity and infections.

Today your heart will make an ill child's heart beat!

Save a child with eye cancer

Adrian
Adrian

Adrian is a child who currently lives in Venezuela, his father is Colombian and his mother Venezuelan. Since he has been diagnosed with ocular cancer, he transfers each month to the San Vicente Pediatric Hospital. This is the only way he can receive the intra arterial chemotherapy, and other treatments that allow him to see and live his childhood at the fullest, in particular playing video games which is one of his favorite pass times. Eye Care Cancer Program has attended since 2011 up-to-date a total of 43 children accomplishing eye saving rates of more than 90 % preventing their blindness and saving them from death. Thanks to you we are saving the lives of children with eye cancer sparing the removal of one or both eyes, blindness or death.
