In the Hospital Classroom we have teachers and a space to accompany hospitalized children in their educational process, maintaining schooling and avoiding losses in the learning process through pedagogical strategies that reduce the negative impact of the disease; The Classroom is a space that articulates Education and Health promoting humanized care that impacts more than 10,000 hospitalized children each year.
Low income children with critical health problems such as cancer, kidney failure, cystic fibrosis, etc. They must remain in the Hospital for long periods, being forced to interrupt their academic process, generating a negative emotional impact on them, generating fears, anxiety, stress and depression.
The Children's Hospital of San Vicente Foundation officially created in 2007 the Hospital Classroom that has teachers with degrees in Children's Pedagogy allowing personal accompaniment to hospitalized children, so in coordination with an educational institution, they can design a curricular plan that allow your learning process to continue. Additionally, we develop recreational activities such as: music therapy, laughter therapy, reading and games.
Every year hundreds of children who win the battle for their health return to their school thanks to the work of the Aula Hospitalaria, avoiding setbacks in their learning process, raising the children's mood, fostering interaction, creativity and joy.
