In the Hospital Classroom we have the teachers and the educational physical space to accompany the hospitalized children on their educational process maintaining the schooling and avoiding loses in the learning process, through communication with their teachers and parents and through pedagogical strategies that reduce the negative impact of the disease; they also offer playful, artistic and musical activities that strengthen abilities for life. Every year more than 10,000 hospitalized children.

Children with critical problems such as cancer, kidney failure, cystic fibrosis, etc. must remain in the Hospital and away from their family and friends for extended periods. This creates a negative emotional impact on them, which leads to anxiety, fears, stress and depression. Furthermore, interrupting their academic process causes demotivation when acquiring learning skills.

Counting with licensed teachers in Child Pedagogy allows a personal accompaniment to hospitalized children, so in coordination with an educative institution, they can design a curriculum plan that allows them to continue their learning process. We develop activities that are playful, artistic and recreational to bring joy to the children and their families being united, being creative and optimistic during the hospitalization; activities like musical therapy, laughter therapy, reading and games.

Long-Term Impact

Each year 10,000 hospitalized children are less afraid, anxious, depressed and stressed when it comes to their illness and hospitalization, thanks to Hospital Classroom. They also return to their school avoiding setbacks in their learning process.
