Founding Story: The foundation was born out of a deeply personal tragedy and a call to action. Its founder, a congenital heart disease survivor, was contacted by a Venezuelan mother seeking help for her son, who shared the same condition. Despite efforts, the child passed away before receiving medical care. This heartbreaking event served as the catalyst to create the Estrellita de Belén Foundation. With an initial donation of $300, raised through the support of colleagues and the founder's husband, John Blanton, the foundation set out to provide the help that was so desperately needed but often inaccessible.
