"We’re inspired by the work of our newest nonprofit partners, each of them doing important work to improve lives and protect the planet," said Alix Guerrier, Chief Executive Officer of GlobalGiving. "They span 35 countries, meaning that their impact is truly global. We at GlobalGiving are privileged to have them in our community, and we look forward to learning with and from them as our partnerships continue into the future!"
The 2019 Giving Season Accelerator welcomed 100 graduates and their outstanding projects. From providing fundamental services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Caracas, Venezuela, to empowering teen girls in Morocco to become strong leaders, to offering vocational training to Cambodian parents so that they can break out of the poverty cycle, the hard work of this unstoppable community of nonprofit leaders will go towards making the next decade better and brighter.
"It was not easy! In fact it was tough work and required team effort on multiple levels. Many more hours than expected were dedicated to reaching our Accelerator goal. And it paid off! As a GlobalGiving partner, we can count on this robust platform and community to scale our organisation's purposes to levels we couldn't have before."
- Felipe Velasco, Project Leader, Fundación Montecito
