With more than 2.4 million Palestinians in desperate need of humanitarian aid, the healthcare system is on the edge of collapse. Relief International is actively present on the ground, working in collaboration with partners to tackle urgent health issues and deliver life-saving medical services. Our efforts play a vital role in navigating strict limitations on aid access, ensuring the provision of essential health care and humanitarian supplies for displaced families.
Over 2 million people have been forcibly displaced multiple times, with nowhere safe to seek shelter. Thousands have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. Health facilities are completely overwhelmed, and access to food and water in Gaza is nearly non-existent. Shockingly, over 90% of Gaza's population is at risk of famine. Delays and obstacles in obtaining essential humanitarian aid has led to shortages of medications, medical equipment and other critical supplies.
Relief International, in collaboration with partners, is actively addressing immediate health needs and providing crucial medical services on-site. This initiative aims to supply essential aid to Palestinians in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, covering a spectrum of necessities from medications and vital supplies to shelter and essential items like blankets and warm clothing.
The goal of this project is to ensure that those affected by the ongoing conflict receive the healthcare and humanitarian support they need for the long term. We have been working closely with a Zakat adviser to establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Shariah law. We carefully assess all projects for Zakat eligibility, and we commit to providing transparent annual reports on Zakat spending. Our advisor has issued a Fatwa declaring that our policies are compliant.
