Students- Home Based Income Generation

Dear Honorable Sponsors,

Dakbhanga Bangladesh (DBD) is implementing primary education program through operating two primary schools since 1998 in the remote area of Ramu sub-district of Cox's Bazar district, Bangladesh to educate underprivileged children with the support of generous peoples. The schools educates the children from ECD to Grade V with a minimum support to higher education of the project students. In every year we found that some poor children used to drop out due to poverty of their family.

Our Zakat Program designed on the collection Zakat from the potential donors of Muslim Community of home and abroad. But up to now the response is so poor for the program. We are mostly supporting 35 families of remote hilly area of Ramu, Cox's Bazar district through this program. We are providing them training and technical support to raise their incomes through different IGA. The price hike due to global unrest is a new challenge for the community too. The environmental disaster is a new challenge after COV ID-19 which is very aggressively affecting now to allover the world. The parents are now started Home based Agriculture, poultry, Goat raring and other relevant low investment project by their own with our technical support.

To continue the children’s study at least up to age 18 and to take part in the family life, the parents needs to get support from the enthusiastic peoples of the humanitarian community of the world. We assured that DBD must use the support as Zakat must be used for the targeted school community with proper monitoring! To achieve the goal we are looking for new donors who will give zakat recurrently to the deserving parents.
