The workshop "Manitos creadoras, social y cultura," located in Pedro Aguirre Cerda neighborhood of Curanilahue, was heavily affected by flooding. This workshop began 3 years ago and consists of 30 women from the community who create beautiful handicrafts: knitting, sewing, bags, painting workshops, among others, all in support of the Curanilahue community.
The problem is that the workshop "Manitos creadoras, social y cultura" in Curanilahue, Chile, suffered severe damage due to flooding. This workshop, which has been active for 3 years and involves 30 women artists from the community, lost all their sewing machines, fabrics, supplies, and other materials essential for their handicrafts and creative activities. The flooding has disrupted their ability to operate and provide support to the Curanilahue community through their artistic work.
This project aims to solve the problem by raising funds to replace the essential equipment and materials lost in the flooding, enabling the workshop to resume operations and support the community through artistic activities.
The potential long-term impact includes revitalizing community resilience through sustained artistic engagement, empowering women's economic independence, and fostering cultural enrichment in Curanilahue and beyond.
