The official project implementation began in the second half of 2022. By the end of 2023 and in the first half of 2024, we have achieved the following results:
- "I will regularly check my body, and if there are any unusual signs like infections, I will ask my parents to take me to see a doctor." Tan Tai, a student at Bac Quynh Elementary School shared.
- "My older child asked me about it (sexual health issues) before but I could only answer based on basic information I knew. After participating in today's training session, I have gained more knowledge to share with my children." said Mrs. Nhoi, a parent at Bac Quynh Elementary School.
- "Today I'm very happy to learn about oral and personal hygiene. We also participated in many fun games and received a lot of gifts." – Thu Phuong, a fifth-grade student, excitedly shared.
- "I rarely used the old restroom at my school because it was small, dark and smelly. Every time we went to the restroom, my friends and I had to line up. The old restroom was also far away. The new toilets are larger, cleaner and have light bulbs, so I no longer have to wait long or be scared to go there." - shared by Hai Thanh, a fifth-grade student at Bac Quynh Elementary School.
The teachers and other staff at beneficiary schools also share the joy of having new toilets. Mrs. Kim Hue, the principal of Thanh Long Kindergarten - one of the schools with new toilets, shared: "I, along with the teachers and parents, have been longing for new toilets for our students. This is wonderful news, as it will help the children's health care at our school."
In the upcoming period, the project will actively continue with the next activity of installing hand washing instruction boards and distributing hand sanitizer to 100 beneficiary schools.
