Kids in Niger enjoyed a few extra weeks of summer break this year, as the start of the school year was delayed until October. We are happy to report that (of the schools that have reported) 64% of the girls in the Remember Niger Girls' Advancement program who took the end-of-middle school exam (Breve, or BEPC) in 2024 passed the exam and were able to matriculate to high school! We count this as a grand success given the national pass rate of 36.69% and are hopeful that the results in 2025 will be even closer to our goal of 90% pass rate. As of the beginning of the 2024-25 school year, 89 girls are enrolled in the Remember Niger Girls' Advancement program and we hope that, through the generosity of people like you, we will expand the program to include more than 100 girls in the coming year.
