For the past 10 years, Ba Nga Afayo Initiative Uganda has walked alongside vulnerable children and families in rural Kayunga, helping them overcome barriers to education, health, and opportunity.
Children in rural Kayunga District, Uganda face barriers that limit their ability to learn and thrive. Poverty, lack of school supplies, limited early childhood education, and few mentorship opportunities increase the risk of school dropout, early pregnancy, and long-term unemployment. Many families struggle to meet basic needs, leaving children without the support systems necessary to succeed in school and build stable futures.
This project strengthens Ba Nga Afayo's integrated programs supporting vulnerable children through education, mentorship, sports, and early childhood development. Through our community center, we provide school supplies, learning support, Magical Classrooms for early learning, and Football for Change sessions that teach life skills and health awareness. These coordinated services help children stay in school and build confidence for the future.
This project will help vulnerable children stay in school, improve wellbeing, and develop the skills needed to succeed in life. Early learning support, mentorship, and sports programs strengthen confidence, leadership, and resilience. Over time, more young people will complete school, access employment opportunities, and contribute positively to their communities, helping break the cycle of poverty in rural Uganda.
